Job Overview:
Responsible for fire prevention & control, systems for fire prevention and control, maintenance schedules/ SOPs for operations related to fire prevention and control, Inspection protocols for fire safety installation, codes for the announcement of fire-related emergency, procedures and communication protocols, training of staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs regular fire safety inspections of all facilities ensuring that they meet all necessary codes and regulations.
- Respond to fire emergencies, investigating and reporting the causes of fire and taking appropriate responsive actions.
- Ensure that the fire safety measures in the hospital like fire evacuation exits and fire extinguishers are in proper working conditions.
- Actively facilitate and conduct training classes and mock drills on fire safety.
- Maintain all fire safety equipment in the building, such as fire extinguishers and other fire related equipment, replacing dysfunctional equipment when it cannot be fixed.
- Assures that fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, fire alarms, sprinkler system and fire hydrants are in operating condition; conducts fire drills and participates in fire prevention programs.
- Coordinate with maintenance team to perform preventative work on buildings and equipment as well to reduce the need for maintenance and replacement.
- Ensure that all fire and life safety systems installed in the premises, working in an effective and efficiency manner.
- Provide criteria on determining the number or type of fire extinguishers needed in a given area.
- Prepare & Implement Disaster & Emergency management plan.
- Liaison with the local fire department authority.
- Candidates must have prior experience of working with Hospitals.
