Dr Vishrut Joshi practices as Consultant Pediatric Intensivist (ICU specialist for children) at Ankura Hospital for women and Children,Pune. Dr Vishrut Joshicompleted MBBSfromPrestigiousMaharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. After finishing Internship in 2011, he went on to pursue post-graduation in pediatrics from Institute of Child Health, Kolkata (DCH) and P. D. Hinduja National Hospital and Research Center, Mumbai (DNB pediatrics). After finishing post-graduation, he joined U. N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Center, Ahmedabad for two years to obtain experience in treating extremely unwell babies with heart diseases.          

He then went on to pursue fellowship in pediatric intensive care at Birmingham Children Hospital, UK from 2020 to 2023, where he has obtained extensive training in looking after children who need ICU care because of severe infections, low blood pressure, lung (e.g., pneumonia), heart, brain (seizures, reduced level of consciousness), liver, kidney, post-transplant conditions. He also gained experience in transporting critically ill children as well as looking after babies who are born premature.

He is skilled in and teaches ICU procedures like putting in dialysis catheters, central venous lines, peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC), arterial line,Intraosseous line,Intercoastal drains, endotracheal intubation (putting babies on breathing machine) etc. He also actively engages in educational activities for nurses, medical students and pediatricians.
