Dr. Ravali Pratima Cirigini is a Pediatric Rheumatologist with advanced fellowship training in Pediatric Rheumatology from the Institute of Child Health (ICH), Kolkata, and a strong clinical foundation from Niloufer Hospital and Osmania Medical College. She has expertise in the evaluation and management of complex pediatric autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, including Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), and Kawasaki Disease.
During her fellowship, Dr. Ravali managed approximately 200 outpatient consultations per month and was actively involved in inpatient care in a dedicated 10-bed Pediatric Rheumatology department. She has experience in comprehensive patient evaluation, documentation, multidisciplinary care and timely follow-up. Her fellowship training also provided exposure to Pediatric Nephrology, Hematology and PICU care for complex rheumatology cases.
Dr. Ravali is skilled in administering biological therapies, including Infliximab, Adalimumab and Rituximab, and performing intra-articular steroid injections. She also has experience in immunization of immunodeficient children and has undergone training in basic musculoskeletal ultrasound.
She has extensive pediatric clinical experience, including independently managing pediatric emergencies and critically ill children in NICU and PICU settings at a high-volume teaching hospital. During her training, she was also involved in bedside teaching, NRP workshops and seminars for postgraduate and undergraduate students.
Dr. Ravali is actively involved in academic and research activities. Her work has been presented at national and regional pediatric rheumatology conferences, and she has received awards for oral and poster presentations of original research. Her research interests include severe dengue and hyperinflammatory syndromes, Kawasaki disease, systemic hyperinflammation and infection-associated hyperinflammatory conditions.
