Dr. Baby Shalini Karumanchi is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist with more than 15 years of clinical experience who caters to a wide spectrum of women’s healthcare needs. Specialized in high-risk obstetrics, gynecological surgeries, infertility management, minimally invasive procedures and cosmetic gynecology.
She completed her MBBS at PES Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center, followed by a DNB in Obstetrics & Gynecology from the National Board of Examinations. To further augment her surgical skills, she did a Fellowship in Laparoscopy from World Laparoscopy Hospital, New Delhi. She has also done a Diploma in Cosmetic Gynecology and has also completed a Basic Obstetric & Gynecological Ultrasound course with merit.
During her postgraduate training, she performed close to 1,000 cesarean sections independently and gained vast experience in the management of complex pregnancies and obstetric emergencies.
Her clinical interests include comprehensive antenatal care, high-risk pregnancy management, normal and operative deliveries, evaluation and treatment of infertility, intrauterine insemination (IUI), laparoscopic procedures, cosmetic gynecology, menstrual disorders, adolescent gynecology, and preventive women’s healthcare. She is committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate and personalized care to women at all stages of life.
Besides her clinical activities, Dr. Shalini has made a significant contribution to the medical research field with publications on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), retroplacental hematoma and postpartum intrauterine contraceptive device (PPIUCD) insertion. She is dedicated to women’s health, clinical research and continuous learning.
