About Dr. Advait Prakash

Dr. Advait Prakash is a Consultant Pediatric Surgeon & Pediatric Urologist with over 15 years of teaching and academic experience and has extensive expertise in pediatric surgery, pediatric urology and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

He has completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery, followed by an MCh in Pediatric Surgery. He is also pursuing a PhD and holds an MBA in Healthcare Management. His advanced surgical training includes fellowships in Minimal Access Surgery, Pediatric Urology, Pediatric Endoscopic Surgery, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Robotic Surgery.

Dr. Prakash has a special interest in pediatric minimal access and endoscopic surgery, pediatric urology and reconstructive surgery, as well as pediatric oncology and hepatobiliary surgery. His academic and clinical interests encompass advanced minimally invasive approaches and specialised surgical care for children. He has also held several professional and administrative positions in national surgical and pediatric surgical associations.

Dr. Advait Prakash has a strong academic and research profile, with 43 publications in national and international indexed journals, along with 32 conference paper presentations and guest lectures at national and international forums. He has also contributed three book chapters to the medical literature.

He serves as an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons (JIAPS), a PubMed-indexed journal, and is also associated with the International Medical Journal of Sri Aurobindo University. He has served as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed indexed medical journals.

His academic involvement also includes teaching undergraduate, postgraduate and super-speciality students for more than 15 years. He is a recognised examiner and thesis guide for MCh Pediatric Surgery at MUHS, Nashik and MPMSU, Jabalpur, and for MS General Surgery at MUHS, Nashik, MPMSU, Jabalpur and Sri Aurobindo University, Indore.
