Dr. Laxman Basany is one of the senior-most consultants in Neonatology, practicing at the Ankura Hospital, LB Nagar center. He has a vast experience of over three decades in his field. He has done his MBBS followed by MD in Pediatrics from the Osmania Medical college, Hyderabad. After specializing as a pediatrician, he further trained himself exclusively in treating the diseases of the newborn by pursuing DM in Neonatology from Mumbai.

His vast clinical experience makes him a master of diagnosing and treating the various diseases and conditions of newborns. He is highly skilful in performing the procedures needed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and has cared for and saved innumerable premature and low-birth-weight babies successfully in his thirty-plus long years in practice.

Despite his busy hours at practice, he takes out time to attend the various academic meets for neonatology to keep himself updated with the latest treatment trends and technological advancements. He has many research articles published in various scientific journals of national and international repute, and has also reviewed multiple articles.
